JH8016G Battery Pack Balancing Test Platform

This device is primarily used for correcting voltage imbalances in battery modules and battery packs. After connecting the cells to be balanced, manually configure the battery type, balancing termination voltage, balancing current, and protection parameters (such as cell over‑voltage protection threshold, cell under‑voltage protection threshold, cell over‑temperature protection threshold, and charging overcurrent protection threshold). Once the settings are complete, the device automatically allocates charging or discharging to each channel based on the balancing criteria. During the balancing process, if a cell’s voltage has already reached the termination condition, that channel enters standby mode, while the remaining channels continue charging or discharging until all cells have met the termination conditions.

  • I. Overview

    This device is primarily used for correcting voltage imbalances in battery modules and battery packs.     II. Main Test Functions

    1) Supports charge–discharge balancing for battery cells of any string configuration, ranging from 1 to 16 strings (including lithium titanate, lithium iron phosphate, ternary materials, etc.).

    2) Supports single-cell voltage measurement for battery packs, with a measurement range of 1–5 V and an accuracy of ±0.1% FS.

    3) The single channel supports a maximum charge–discharge balancing current of 20 A, and the magnitude of the balancing current must be manually adjustable.

    4) Equipped with protection functions including overcharge protection, overdischarge protection, reverse polarity protection, short-circuit protection, and AC input overvoltage/undervoltage protection.

    5) A controlled balancing method is employed, initiating the balancing process when the cell‑to‑cell voltage difference exceeds a preset threshold.

    6) Supports host‑computer display of battery pack status, parameters, real-time voltage of each cell, and charge/discharge current for each cell.

    7) Features independent temperature measurement and allows setting of over-temperature protection thresholds.

    8) The system is equipped with test data management capabilities and supports test data retrieval and query functions.

    The PACK balancing test platform employs a modular design: each fully functional, controlled charge–discharge module corresponds to a single cell and utilizes proprietary charge–discharge control technology to meet the requirements for rapid charging and discharging of individual cells. This enables real-time, online health management and optimization of lithium‑ion battery packs, thereby significantly extending the cycle life of power lithium‑ion battery packs.

    It supports real-time monitoring and measurement of individual cell voltages, as well as automatic calculation of charging energy. Equipped with multiple protection features, it ensures the safety of both the battery and the charger itself. Additionally, it offers a process‑editing function, facilitating capacity verification and state‑of‑charge configuration for batteries. This device is suitable for charging and discharging lithium batteries, including lithium iron phosphate, ternary lithium, and lithium titanate chemistries; it features 16 channels, with adjustable constant‑current charge/discharge currents ranging from 1 to 20 A, and accepts a 220 VAC input.
